MY PROCESS
Idea to Cast
One piece, four stages — the Jabir ibn Hayyan bronze relief.
Idea
The subject, the composition, the scale — drawn and agreed before any clay is touched.
Clay
Modelled by hand over an armature. Still soft — the last point of free revision.
Mould
Silicone and plaster. The clay is lost; the form becomes permanent.
Cast
Cast in bronze, chased and finished. Patina, mounting, delivery.
